Tom and I travelled across the bridge to Wales to see Kids In Glass Houses conclude their reunion tour at The Great Hall in Cardiff. We worked with the band in 2012 to bring their debut album Smart Casual to vinyl for the first time (followed by Dirt and In Gold Blood in 2014).
It was so good to see them back and better than ever, playing Smart Casual in full plus a few other hits to a hometown crowd. An incredible atmosphere in the room where I saw my first gig proper back in 2003.
Smart Casual was the first vinyl release we worked on ourselves (following a collaboration with another label previously) and even though we were on a STEEP learning curve, we did an alright job and it opened so many doors for us. Thank you Aled, Iain, Andrew, Phil and Joel for taking a huge chance on us back then. We’re so pleased you’re back.
